Case study 01 · moravamodern.com

House plans from Serbia, built for builders abroad.

Moravamodern sells contemporary house designs by CAD ART studio, our family's practice, to self-builders in English-speaking markets. We designed and built the whole site: catalogue, plan pages, order requests and 3D interiors.

Context

A good design is not enough online.

CAD ART studio designs family houses in Serbia, and its library includes modern designs that are not tied to one country: flat roofs, stone and travertine villas, compact cabins. The designs were ready. A way to sell them across borders was not. Moravamodern is that way.

Selling house plans internationally raises problems that a local practice never meets:

  • Trust at a distance. Nobody can visit the studio, so every plan page has to answer the questions a buyer would ask across a desk: rooms, sizes, levels, what the drawings contain.
  • Two measuring systems. The designs are metric. Buyers in the US think in square feet, so every area shows both.
  • Careful wording. In the US, UK, Canada and Australia, building design is regulated. The site explains, on every plan and in the order flow, that a local licensed professional adapts the design before it is built.
  • Heavy media. Renders, floor plans and 360° interiors are what sell a house, and they are exactly what makes most catalogue sites slow on a phone.

The goal was a catalogue that feels like a design studio, loads like a static page, and never promises more than the studio can deliver.

What we built

A catalogue, an order flow and 3D interiors.

Every page is prerendered at build time and served from Vercel's edge. The copy lives in Markdown files that are validated when the site builds, so a broken plan page fails the build instead of reaching a buyer.

Features

  1. 01

    Catalogue with instant filters

Filter 23 designs by size, bedrooms, levels and style. Filtering runs in the browser over a static list, so there is no server round trip and one canonical URL.

  2. 02

    Plan pages that answer questions

Galleries, floor plans, a room-by-room area schedule, both m² and ft², what each drawing set typically includes, and a plan-specific FAQ.

  3. 03

    Order request, then invoice

No checkout. Buyers send a request, get a written quote that lists the exact sheets, and pay only after they confirm. The form sends through Resend and falls back to a prefilled email if sending is not configured.

  4. 04

    360° interiors on demand

The 3D interiors hub shows renderings and 360° tours. Each tour loads only after a click, so the page stays fast and makes no third-party requests until the visitor asks for one.

  5. 05

    Journal with an RSS feed

Articles on flat roofs, sloping lots, metric plans and building abroad, written for people who are still deciding. Most of them link straight to the designs they discuss.

  6. 06

    Legal flows built in

Terms, license, refunds, privacy, cookies and a seller notice, plus an EU withdrawal form at /cancel for buyers in the EU.

Live numbers, straight from Google.

These scores come from the PageSpeed Insights API, mobile test, and refresh daily. We never type a score into the page. If the API does not answer, this block shows no numbers at all.

Live scores are not available right now: the PageSpeed Insights API did not answer when this page was generated. We don't show stored numbers instead. You can run the same mobile test yourself.

What you can check yourself

  • Every page is static HTML served from Vercel's edge cache. The response headers show it.
  • HTTPS with HSTS and a strict Content-Security-Policy on every response.
  • No cookie banner: analytics are cookieless, and the 360° tours load nothing from third parties until you click.
  • Canonical URLs, an XML sitemap, JSON-LD structured data and Open Graph images on every page.
  • End-to-end tests with axe accessibility checks and Lighthouse CI budgets guard each release.
